Jodee has been getting more kile a toddler these days, slowly losing any remaining fats and using all up for all her activites. She never seems to be gaining weight but obviously taller.

We had bought her a new pait of walking sandles today. Her very first as she's now exploring walking ( assisted version ) and sometimes faster than us. I can imagine now imagine the speed once she know how to ealk on her own and that will be a treasure hunt for us!!! I am looking forward to 2006, as this will be a fresh year or me and jodee as I decide to spend more time with her. Finally, I am going to set some house-commandments! yay!

Having to look back, 2 years had just passed like a breeze... very soon Jodee will be a big girl, I pray for the wisdom of the Lord to be us and guide us well in parenting this next generation.

jodee has been down with a cold since ND eve, she had a slight fever in the middle of the night and we brought her to the nearest doctor early in the morning. I missed a wedding thereafter.

She had been good even though she is plagued with a bad runny nose which is ocassionally blocked. Her appetite is affected too. I must say this girl is very tough in character. Despite of her discomfort, she's hanging there waiting to play and living life like as if she's well...

We feel sorry for her cos' the virus was from me but on the other hand, we're thankful that she's giving us comfort more than we did.

John kept saying Jodee looks like me in this shot. I had a great time taking jodee on film for the past 2 days and I'm almost into my 2nd roll of film.

She's at this stage of development that she attempts to do any act just to get our attention, from standing to crawling to making tear-less whins and guess what she always win! I can't help but will relent and give her mummy's best hug!

I can't fully describe how it's like to have a child. It seems like one of the best thing I had and could ever imagine. God had gave me a very good gift. I love you little ms jodee angel.

i have yet to master the ability to upload pictures to blog. BOOOOO!!! so the last note was invalidated!
Well, both dad and mama had been too busy doing things of our own and had not been diligent enough to post pictures we had taken. the matter of fact is JODEE is a big girl now, coming to end of 9month in less than a week and weigh a hefty 8kg. I'm feeling the strain on my back...

She had been up to some new tricks like standing up and jumping onto people( those whom she deems fit) she's highly- selective with her playmates. She PICKS her friends. Don;t be surprise that she will screams at you even if she finds you funny that's her way of telling " HELLO!!!" She's one dolly that smiles perpectually to anyone, everyone...except don't disturb her when she needs her rest or milk...she can bite now that she had 2 lower teeth sprouting from her itchy gums. if she bits just pretend it's not painful...hhahaha.

well, i've said much about this little baby... if you wanna catch a glimpse of her allure. come down to baybeats 2005 and perhaps you may have a chance to play with her.

Babies are Gifts

It's been more than 1 mpnth since my work has gone part-time, this will give me more time with jodee and I did had a good by large. I was excited about her ever smiley face, her powerful claws, and even just seeing her sleeping on my arms is such a pleasure, blessing... Having her by my side most of the time had led to re-organise my life to adjust around her daily routine, it was hard in the beginning and I simply have to drop certain activites just to be with her. I thought some of my peers are sweet and understanding to even shift our "meetings" to my home so I can still enjoy "hanging-out" with jodee around.

Having a baby/kid is not as " scary" as some might had thought but certainly, we need to have lotsa of grace from God, supporting husand/wife (like johnC ), loving family who always love to help us and a group of like-minded, understanding peers who know the importance of family lives. I am blessed to have all of those. God is Good!

lil jodee has turned 5 month today! so fast eh... We kinda love these days more than ever cos' she's been cooing alot more and indeed like me she's highly active and sometimes talkative but I really love her the way she is. I have heard scary stories from friends' friends that they were so stressed out at work that they do vent their neg. emotions on their little ones. I really hope the Lord will guard my heart when it comes to child-minding.

Till date, here are some new things Jodee is capable to do:
- Hold her milk bottle during her feeding time. ( well trained by grandma)
- Tell you she's ready for poopoo, she'll make the " ng-ng.... " noise
- Raise her both arms and ask you to carry her...
- Turn from her Left to Right
- Able to hold her neck up without support
- Graps anything and everything and pop into her mouth!

Monday Blues

I am beginning to feel blue on almost every weekday morning and Monday especially.

The thought of leaving Jodee is almost unbearable, now that she's growing fast and almost everyday she has something new for us that doesn't make things any better...I feel like I am missing out loads on her growth process and I am really upset about it. I must get out of my work soon but that too needs careful planning...

How long must this go on God... arrgh. Looking at myself now as a parent, I am beginning to understand God's Love for us even more, imagine I am missing Jodee so much now...How much more is God? I can't describe it for God...It's too much!

It's been almost 4 months since jodee was born and she's getting more adorable each day. Just like this morning, she greeted dad first with fart(yes...not nice) but she gracefully changed it to a mini-talentime with her coos and uhhs. She has been doing this for a while now and we are quite certain she is a sanguine.

BREASTFEEDING

Many books I read say breastfeeding is the best! And I can't deny it anymore and it's so true.

You may not know ( but now you do lah...) that Jodee is a totally breastfed child since birth. Initially I thought I might just breastfeed her for 2-3 weeks and then will turn to formula milk in case she's didn't get enough but the amazing fact is she had never once "under-fed' but instead I am now getting surplus on top of what she is receiving. Therfore, I am now happily "expressing" the extra for future use.

This has allow me to learn something exciting about God. My body will never run dry of milk unless I stop feeding the baby or she refuses it, just like God...He will continue to provide for our needs no matter what He is our provider and He knows how much and exactly when we need it...God is amazing! isn't it? so it's like the more we pursue God, He will reveal deeper side of Him to us...It's so Awesome! It's a timely encouragement to me not to stop breastfeeding Jodee ( try to sustain as long as possible...) and secondly, I am thrilled to see God's love for us through what I am likewise doing for my very own flesh and blood.

If you are not a parent, you will not fully understand me or think that it's only for "AUNTIES", if that's so I think I am one, so to speak...

My life now revolves around our little angel, she wakes up, I wake up...she sleeps, I sleep...she cries, I attend to her needs. very much like a nanny. She's a good baby with BIG appetite and half the time she cries is mainly for feeds and for the past few days she's been "latching on" very well which is good but she sucks, my nipples screams as well...

Well, that's breastfeeding...But overall, I am glad and thankful that she's been growing quite well and fast and very soon she will out grow the cot here. Hmmmm, must think of a way to fit her in another cot soon...

last night (at about 1130pm), dee and I were just like fighting our last battle with prayer and prayed for the final 8 hours for a miracle. We were so reluctant about inducing the childbirth and we were like still pressing on (knowing that we had till 730am.... HALLELUJAH!!!!!!
and 2 hours later at about 115am, God answered our prayer. there was first the show, and came the contractions!!!!! so exciting.... PRAISE THE LORD!!!!

I have passed my week 40 and the baby is considered a little overdue, but I am hopeful that she will be fine and I will get to see her way before the induction date the Doc had appointed. Yes! It's about time that the little JODEE can pop out (anytime) from this heavily inflated mummy's tummy but I hope it's not as soon as now!

Yah, I have been praying and talking to our little girl to grant me some "personal" time with papa john and we are postive about it. I have also been advised to keep track of her daily movements, as for today I did some notes from after lunch onwards. I notice her movements are fairly active but not really as consistent as some of the other babies I came across but I guess she is special and nothing is that alarming...

Sometimes, she can give us surprise kicks that is so hard and steady that I wonder where she gets all her strength from?!?!!? I can only laugh and smile contentedly...hehehe

Giving Birth

Within the last 2 weeks, I have 2 friends who had just given birth to 2 lovely babies. One via natural the other C-section and I am counting down to mine. Though according to the Obst that I am technically due on 13 Oct but the baby an come any time between the week 38 onwards.

I am getting my prepared for it but not now at least and I know the baby can still afford to be in there for 2 more weeks... I need some space for myself before that and I hope the Lord will grant me that

SHOPPING

John and I had a long day, we were at the Gynea this morning and she was as usual smiley all the way saying many nice things about me and the baby... indeed now we cant see much of here movements but excitingly, we saw her little ears and we are happy!!!

then, following the day we were all over the place from Marine Parade to Raffles Place to Ikea to Toa Payoh acting as busy parents trying to finish up some last minute shopping for me and the little J, later we met up with my in-laws and we continue shopping... It's like a never ending journey!

Well, but in short we kindly had some achievements by getting a few essentials for her like matteress which then we can leave the rest till she's born. That's not very far away though...2-4 weeks' time! Will keep you people updated then.

People are starting to notice that my tum is getting bigger and indeed it is and heavier than before... the little one is moving more frequently than before and I also get hunger pangs much often than ever...

Just like today, I have to snack 2 hours after my nasi padang meal( usually can keep me till dinner) and I had 2 oranges faithfully... but after 2 hours I am all hungry again and having not much snacks left I took the last few pieces of raisin biscuits and hoping that will keep the baby busy for another hour or so before I head for dinner at mum's.

ahhh... I am looking forward to our next medical appointment and I would love to see the baby on scan again. Give me the high Five babe!

According to the gynea, the baby could be out anytime from 1st Oct onwards and we are pretty excited. Besides, I have been feeling tired more easily than ever, I have tried to cut down on activities and meetings in the evening so I can go home and rest and do some light reading before sleep at 11p.m.

ha! when the baby comes there will be more changes and adjustments to be made and we just prayed that things will be alright.Looking forward to my massage session on this coming Saturday...yay!

I'm not sure... but it's fun thus far. learning all the massage techniques, some of which like kung fu....

I am going to take some pictures of the "growing" mummy. I haven't been taking much cos the progress is so little month by month except for now. I am truly feeling all the stretching and pulling of every part from my chest down.

Never knew our skin is so elastic and highly stretchable, while the lil one is happily growing and playing in there I am also counting my days when the BIG day be... I was busy preparing my wedding stuffs this time last year and now I have faithfully graduated to being a mama...so hilarious I thought!

well, I have been dreaming alot these days too. Many weird dreams like I was in this pre-war chinatown trying to hide my pregnancy from the japanese to wild dreams in the jungle... Half the time, I hardly see JohnC, wonder where had he been??? Hmmmm...

People have been asking me how am I feeling about being pregnant. I think it's a great blessing and joy of course! But it's also not all the time and works for everyone... But at least for myself, I have been getting both the GOOD and the NOT SO GOOD...

When I say " not so good" it's not bad, you know. It's just things just don't work the way I want like...wanting the baby to kick later but not now, the pain to go away now but not later...These are the things that are really beyond my physical control but certainly I know God knows what's going through my heart and mind at all times...

Being in the 3rd trimester ( starting week 28 ) is going to be challenging especially because I know I am going to put on more KGs and the pains and pants are going to be coming more often, then the labour and delivery...All are going to take place within the next 12 weeks! I have to start sorting out the baby room and many more chores, hope my body will not wear me out. But all these are not going to stop me from thinking positively about the lil chiongster.

She shall be a reward for all our endurance and it's worth it!

It's a cool monday morning and the little one has been kicking since 7am. I wonder if she does actually sleeps and rest...
She seems to moves through the night and now even in the morning... Is she noctunal?

Again last saturday, we went for another check-up and Doc was pretty pleased with her progress and we are relieve too... We do hope she will continue to enjoy her next few months in there and thereafter. We are still working on her name, her room and getting some furnitures for her in the next month. Pray for us too... It's gonna be another transition to come...

Week 27

Our lil princess is 27th week this week, her last week of 2nd trimester.

Thereafter, she'll be growing very quickly like putting extra fat under her skin, expedited brain development, sensitised hearing and feel...arhh...very much like you and me except she's still "inside" me...

JohnC & me have not figured out her name though I had some quaint inspirations like after "esplanadelle" or "Nedva" which John shouts in protest! Anyhow...we still have some time to think and see right?

I have been feeling a little tired and pain on my ribs lately. Something that is supposedly normal and I am learning to get used to it...

I hope the baby is doing fine and it seems that the brain development is quite robust for the next few weeks... Have a great time growing baby! Love you to bits!

the baby has been moving alot lately and john will always try to catch those "beats" whenever he can...

We are going for our antenatal class in August after John is done with both Baybeats and Sonic Festival. It'll be fun learning how to "huff and puff" during the delivery. I really want to have a natural birth, my first pressie for the baby...

I am so excited! Eventually, I can feel the movements of the baby... I am slowly aining more cofidence to be a mommy. It's hard to describe how it's like to know to have a little being within you wringling and dancing or doing whatever within their means. John had never stop those giggles when he could feel those faint kicks of the baby, and he had already developed a habit of laying his palm on my tumtum almost every morning, greeting the newborn with love and warm!

how fizzy a love can this be....
